La Cala de Mjas Promenade 

La Cala de Mijas is a nice fishing village along the Costa del Sol. It sits between the larger areas of Marbella and Fuengirola. La Cala has become very popular with expatriates from many countries. La Cala has a good selection of local shops and supermarkets including Mercadona and Supersol. La Cala de Mijas also has twice weekly markets. The markets take place on Wednesday and Saturday mornings. La Cala has it's roots as a fishing village and early every morning you still see the fishing boats out at sea.  

La Cala de Mijas Beach 

There are several traditional Spanish restaurants and bars as well as a very popular Irish pub and english restaurants. One of the most popular cafe's in the area is Snack Attack. Snack Attack is located in the Jardin Botanico urbanisation opposite the BP petrol station. Snack Attack has been around for a few years and is very popular with residents and tourists. If you fancy a sandwich, wrap, breakfast or lunch then check this place out. 

 

La Cala de Mijas Village 

 

Transport is easy from La Cala de Mijas. There is a regular bus service from the centre of the village to Benalmadena, Marbella, Fuengirola and the areas on route. Buses are reasonably priced and quite frequent. Alternatively there is a taxi rank outside Biddy Mulligans pub which always has taxis waiting.
