It may be freezing outside, your post Christmas figure may leave little to be desired and your legs may be whiter than Nicole Kidman’s but, ready or not, the latest Spring/Summer collections have arrived and it's time to embrace them. Flower Power: Chuck out those drab, knitted jumpers and immerse yourself in springtime florals. From floor sweeping gowns to knee length ensembles, floral prints dominated this season’s collections. Beautifully bold: Spring/Summer 2008 sees the return of bright colours. Gone are the Khaki pants and white peasant tops, colour is back and it is here to stay. Electric blue, warm pinks and bright yellows are key looks this season. Toga-licious: Swathed silks, one-shoulder gowns and bias cuts were showcased by numerous designers, most notably Frida Giannini at Gucci. Most designers kept colour to a minimum with grey, silver and white the most obvious choices. However, Gucci took things up a gear by experimenting with dusty pinks whilst Missouri sent temperatures through the roof with their electric turquoise toga. To make this look work for you, keep accessories to a minimum, focus on just one item. Gold jewellery works particularly well with this look. Gucci in Puerto Banus should be your first port of call.

Tribal: Tribal wear is a roaring success again this season. From animal prints to African inspired designs and chunky jewellery, the industry’s love for all things ethnic shows little sign of letting up. Wardrobe staples include a pair of brown leather sandals, a mustard yellow kaftan and as many prints as you can get your hands on. Accessorize with large sunglasses, wide belts, headscarves and, of course, a golden tan. Mango’s latest collection is crammed full of tribal prints and rich browns.
