We talk with Roger Mouawad, founder and owner of Roger M Creative Jewellery in Marbella and Puerto Banus since 1982. We visited Roger at his Marbella store to learn what makes his jewellery and his shops so special. Roger M attributes his ongoing success to consistently high levels of personal service, high quality products, attention to detail and excellent after care. Put simply he demands the highest levels of service from all his staff members. This is evident when you visit any of his shops.

 
RogerM is first and foremost a creative jeweler. He consults with customers to ascertain exactly what type of jewelry they would like from design ideas and preferred precious stones to choice of settings. He works mainly with white gold, yellow gold and Platinum. He describes his jewellery as a mixture of classical and modern design. He finds that diamonds are very popular as many of his customers purchase diamonds as a form of investment. The beauty in purchasing diamond jewellery as an investment is in the fact that the majority of the investment goes towards the cost of the diamond itself, which is an appreciating asset.

Roger Mouawad is very confident in the quality of his work and encourages customers to study the jewellery using the 10x magnifying tool used by jewelers themselves to study precious stones and workmanship. The workmanship on each Roger M piece has to be flawless, no exceptions. Every piece of jewellery comes with a lifetime guarantee plus free cleaning and maintenance. He likes to maintain contact with his customers and ensure that the service does not end with the purchase but is instead the beginning of a long lasting relationship. During our interview Roger pointed out that, a very special relationship exists between a jeweler and his customer. “The customer has to trust his jeweler as he or she would their doctor”. In a business such as jewellery this ‘relationship’ is the cornerstone of success. The special relationship between the jeweler and customer very often continues through the generations.

Roger M Marbella Store

RogerM Creative Jewellers has developed a very loyal client base of regular customers of all nationalities, many of which own holiday homes around Marbella and make a point of visiting him whenever in town. In particular, he is very popular with English, Irish and Russian customers.

Aside from the unique Roger M creative jewellery the stores also stock products by Mont Blanc, premium quality Swiss watches by Dior and Edox. They also stock Pequignet watches. Pequignet watches have a French design and are manufactured in Switzerland.

Roger M Creative Jewellers has two shops in the modern Marbella shopping mall, La Cañada. The La Cañada shopping centre is situated along the A7 dual carriageway into Marbella and Puerto Banus. The Marbella stores are located on the first floor of the new phase of La Cañada. The Puerto Banus store is located at Jardines del Puerto Local 10.
